Product & Design
Are your stickers handmade?
Yes! Every sticker sheet is designed, printed, and cut in our small home studio. We’re not a large factory, just a creative team of one (plus Mumu, our honorary supervisor). because of that, every sheet is made with attention and heart.
Why do colours sometimes look a little different?
Good question! Colours can vary slightly from what you see on your screen. Every monitor or phone displays colour differently, and since we print in-house, minor variation between batches can happen. We think it adds a touch of chard, like no two pages being exactly the same in a journal.
My stickers aren’t cut exactly the same – is that normal?
Yes, absolutely normal! Our stickers are kiss-cut by hand on a professional machine, and while we take care with each sheet, very slightly variations can occur. It’s part of what makes handmade products unique – a little bit of character in every cut.
Are your stickers like store-bought ones?
Not quite – and that’s part of their charm! Each sheet is printed and cut in-house, so they feel a little softer and more tactile than the plastic-feeling stickers you might find in big stores. They’re made from high quality matte paper designed for journaling, not for waterproof or outdoor use. Think of them more like stationery treasure than a mass-produced sticker – made to live beautifully on your planner pages, not your water bottle.
What kind of paper do you use?
All of our stickers are printed on premium matte paper – smooth to write on, rich in colour, and perfect for journaling and planning. It gives a soft, non-glossy finish that photographs beautifully and feels lovely under your pen. They’re also perfect for ‘colour your own’ stickers (shhhhhh, that’s our little secret) so you’ll be able to colour in black and white collections.
Can I write on your stickers?
Yes, most pens work perfectly – especially ballpoint, gel and pigment pens. Just give ink-heavy pens a few seconds to dry before closing your planner to avoid those annoying smudges.
Do you take custom or personalised requests?
This depends on the request. If it’s something that fits into Kai & Mumu’s world there is more chance you’ll be able to have your wish come true. The best things to do is contact us – you never know until you ask.
Will you restock sold-out designs?
Most standard collections will return at least for the year they’re designed for, though some may be limited edition. If you love something, don’t wait too long – Mumu likes to keep us moving forward.
How often do you release new designs?
New designs are released monthly – these designs include out Hobonichi compatible kits and our standard single sheets. Keep an eye on the newsletter for sneak peeks and launch dates.
Do you offer wholesale or collaborations?
We’re open to chatting about future collaborations – just reach out through the contact page!
Orders and Processing
How long does it take to process my order?
Each order is made and packed with care, usually within 3-5 business days. During busy launches or holidays, it might take a little long – but it’s always worth the wait.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If your order hasn’t been packed yet, we’ll do our best to help. Just message us as soon as possibly using the contact form – Kai moves fast once the stickers are ready!
What if I entered the wrong address?
Pop us a message immediately with your correct details. If your happy mail has already been posted, sadly there’s not much we can do, but we’ll always try to help where we can.
My order arrived damage – what should I do.
Oh no! Please send me a message with a photo of the packaging and product within 48 hours of delivery. We’ll make it right – promise.
