Kai’s World

A new month begins, and Kai opens their Hobonichi Weeks planner with focus. Mumu stretches nearby, her tail brushing against a sticker sheet as if to remind Kai not to take it all too seriously. With a soft laugh, Kai starts planning.

First, the illustrated panels go down, covering the empty spaces that sit outside the month. Next come the weekday headers – English, Japanese, and Korean – marking time with intention. After that, Kai adds small icons next: a mug, a pile of books, and a heart to decorate. Bit by bit, the spread begins to mirror their life. Some stickers record events, while others hold goals or simple reminders.

Planning becomes a moment to refocus. Instead of rushing, Kai slows down enough to see the month ahead clearly. Each sticker brings shape to the page, adding both rhythm and meaning. Meanwhile, Mumu curls up among the unused sheets, looking proud as if she helped design the layout herself.
